How We Rate

Every page on this site follows the same method: read the primary documents, check the points that affect a player in Great Britain, and say plainly when something is unclear. This page explains what we look at and what we leave out.

Where the information comes from

We rely on documents the operator publishes, not on rumour. Facts are taken from these sources:

  • The operator's own website and game lobby
  • Bonus terms and conditions for each offer
  • The general terms and conditions
  • Payment and withdrawal pages
  • The public register of the licensing authority the operator names

If a detail cannot be found in one of these, we do not present it as fact. We would rather leave a gap than fill it with a guess.

What we check and why it matters to a GB player

We note which licence the site holds, who issued it, and whether the operator lists Great Britain as an accepted or restricted country. This decides which protections and complaint routes you have. For example, a Curaçao licence is not a UK Gambling Commission licence, and a restricted-countries list that includes the UK is something a reader should see. Our safety page applies this check to Tucan.

A headline percentage says little alone. We record the wagering requirement, minimum deposit, maximum bet, expiry and whether a code is needed, because these decide how much of a bonus is realistically usable. The bonus guide shows how this looks in practice.

We list deposit and withdrawal methods, minimum amounts, daily and weekly withdrawal caps, and stated processing times. A slow or capped payout matters more than a large bonus. Details for Tucan are on the withdrawals page.

We check the size of the game library, which providers supply it, and whether live games come from a named studio. We also note support channels and languages, and which responsible gambling tools exist, such as deposit limits, session reminders and self-exclusion, plus links to support organisations.

When sources disagree

Operators sometimes show different figures on different pages, for example a promotion banner and the bonus terms. In that case we give priority to the formal terms and conditions over marketing text.

If the conflict cannot be settled, we say so on the page and show both versions. We do not pick the more flattering number. Where something is not published at all, we describe it as not stated.

How often pages are re-checked

Bonus terms, limits and payment options change without notice, so pages are re-checked against the sources above and updated when a change is found. We do not promise real-time accuracy. Always confirm current terms on the operator's site before you deposit.

What this site does not do

  • We do not accept payment to change, hide or soften a fact.
  • We do not claim hands-on testing, interviews or insider knowledge that we have not documented.
  • We do not invent figures to fill gaps.
  • We do not encourage play by anyone under 18 or by anyone who cannot afford to lose the money.

Player opinions are shown separately from our own checks, for example on the user reviews page. Gambling carries risk. If it stops being fun, use deposit limits or self-exclusion, and contact BeGambleAware or GamCare.
